After more than two years of living through a disastrous time for international tourism (we are still reeling from the shockwave of the pandemic’s impact), we finally arrive at a time where Indonesia is ready to receive you with open arms again!
As a matter of fact, you no longer need quarantine if you’re triple-vaccinated, and many airports in Indonesia are resuming their visa-on-arrival programs.
Flights from Amsterdam to Manado (with Garuda Airlines) as well as from Singapore to Manado (with Scoot Airlines) are available.
So in short, there’s good news all around and we couldn’t be more pleased.
Duikvaker 2022 – the Dutch Dive Show will be LIVE

We will be ready for you and more than happy to help you plan your next trip to North Sulawesi. You can visit our booth at Duikvaker in Houten on the 2nd and 3rd of April.
Our good friends Paul & Yvonne are very knowledgeable, and they will be representing Thalassa during the weekend. Simone & Arjen will also be present, albeit virtually. If you visit Duikvaker, feel free to chat with us via Zoom during the show.
In addition, the foundation that sponsors our school Kehidupan Anda will be represented by the lovey Nico & Yvonne. They provide you with all information about our education programs, and hopefully will make you a school sponsor!
They will also be selling all kinds of items, such as artwork, books and more. All proceeds will go to our vocational high school in Tongkeina.
Will we meet you at the show? We hope to see you at booth number 613, right in the middle of the venue.
Marine Diving Fair 2022 Tokyo
At the same time, the Marine Diving Fair in Tokyo will take place on April 1st through the 3rd. Our resident Instructor and manager Satoka will represent Thalassa from a booth provided by the Indonesian Embassy in Japan.
Many of our Japanese repeating guests have already indicated they can’t wait to share their travel plans with Satoka.
And besides representing us at this dive show, she is also very happy to be back in her home country after almost 3 years. With life returning to what can be considered normal, she’s in the midst of making wedding plans with her fiancée. So when they’re back in Manado we hope you will be here to celebrate with us!
We’re ready for you – starting in May!
It’s both surreal and a great feeling to have a few bookings again, and our first small group of guests will travel to Manado in May.
We’re currently finishing the building of Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado, with our brand new villas and at least three new chalets waiting for you. Here you will also find our luxury massage parlor and exclusive restaurant.
Over at Thalassa Lembeh, we’re doing some much-needed rebuilding, such as a brand new restaurant and pizza oven, as well as a new terrace in front of the pool.

You’re involved and you follow us online
Since the pandemic began, we’ve been live streaming on Facebook and YouTube every Saturday morning at 09:00 CET, and you’ve been with us since day one. During the Duikvaker show we’ll also go live, so do “drop by” and come say hi if you can’t be there in person. Besides that we’ll show you all the work during our resort updates as well.
Get involved with Google Maps
Our Google Bussiness listing (which displays Thalassa on Google Maps, for example) could use a minute of your attention as well: leave a review, upload your favorite (underwater) photos. It will help us gain visibility on the search ranks and would literally put us on the map.
