The Barracuda Lounge - Eating, Drinking and Relaxing
The center point of the resort certainly is the spacious restaurant area in which you can find our reception, souvenir shop, coffee corner and lounge area besides the main restaurant. It is also the perfect place to have a drink at the bar, chat with other divers or check-out that particular fish that really intrigued you in one of the available fish books or magazines. For those who would like to stay in touch with home and friends via the Internet we also offer a free Wi-Fi service to do so.
Front Desk and Shop
Whether you are looking for a T-shirt, souvenir, fish book or some accessory for your dive gear, our staff at the front desk will be happy to help you. You can also book your next dives there or a tour to see a little more of the region and its people. Do you have any other questions, or maybe a health problem? Our staff can help you in most cases to solve the problems quickly and efficiently.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are being cooked by our three local chefs, Arnold, Glen and Nor who make an effort adding to your sense of adventure by making delicious local dishes. You can also have a look in the kitchen and see them in action or even help them cook if that is what you enjoy.
Our buffets offer a taste of the traditional Minahasa dishes, giving you a chance to eat vegetables and fruits you have never eaten before. The highlight for most guests is our "Special Diner" on Saturdays night accompanied with life music from our Thalassa team.
Our Swimming Pools
The two swimming pools offer a refreshing dip, both for young and old. The children from the Dive Tourism School come twice a week to learn to swim. Of course it is also a great and safe location to take your first breath under water.
The swimming pools might not compensate 100 percent for the lack of a proper beach. However, if you want you can walk along the sea shore (at low tide) to the nearby black beach and join the local kids playing along on the beach.
Do you have muscle tensions or did you develop minor lower-back problems from carrying scuba tanks while diving? Then enjoy a professional massage from Cice in our little spa overlooking the sea. Cice can also undertake curative massage as well and discover and take care of “old” or longer term problems, many of our friends have left Thalassa with fewer problems than when they arrived.
